Presidential Foot Stomping -- Bush Reacts to House Dem Smackdown

Bush, unwilling to stand up for his policies by himself, appears from the White House with veterans, soldiers, and children and wives. Calls the Democrats' bill "an act of political theater". Promises to veto the bill, which he calls an "abdication of responsibility".

He accused the "Democratic majority" [NB: he got spanked the last time he called them 'the Democrat majority'] of delaying "vital" aide to the military in order to score "political points".

I couldn't find a comment link for the passage of Iraq deal so am hitting it here.

I find this devastatingly shortsighted and think it is a true shame.

blandly, blandly, blandly . . . what is short sighted is an administration reacting to a massive November smackdown of its failed invasion, ignoring the nearly 70% who want us to be out by the middle or end of next year, and who instead, aggressively, petuantly and with no regard for the loss of lives not their own, comes up with a plan to send more boys and girls into the quagmire it created.
