In America We Do Not Discriminate. Stop the PA "Marriage Protection Amendment"

In America we do not discriminate, period.

What is so hard to understand about that?

The Pennsylvania House is scheduled to vote on House Bill 2381 -- the so-called "Marriage Protection Amendment". The vote could come as soon as TODAY. Contact your State Representatives today and ask them not to vote for discrimination. ***(One Click Correspondence to All Your Representatives Below)

The Marriage Protection Amendment proposes to amend the Pennsylvania Constitution by adding the following language:
Only a marriage between one man and one woman shall be valid or recognized as a marriage in this Commonwealth, and neither the Commonwealth nor any of its political subdivisions shall create or recognize a legal status identical or substantially equivalent to that of marriage for unmarried individuals.
One may reject a homosexual relationship for one's own life. But to -- by a Constitutional Amendment, no less -- impose one's views of personal lifestyle on others, that is, well, simply unthinkable in a nation dedicated to personal liberty, freedom, and the pursuit of happiness. How horribly, unspeakably, mean it is to deny a loving couple the benfits that we all enjoy simply because of a difference of opinion over the propriety of their choice.

Contact your legislators today and let them know that, whatever their personal views, in America, we simply do not discriminate.
